Assist with the administration of London programs and commercial contracts.

Administration of Homebuilder's Subcontractors Program:

  • Assist with underwriting, quoting, and binding of new and renewal business
  • Set up and maintain files and data in various websites and database systems
  • Create documents and Excel spreadsheets for reports, certificates, and policy documents
  • Approve new enrollees and prepare coverage documents on a timely basis
  • Process monthly bordereau
  • Assist with claim administration and work with TPA as needed

Administration of Commercial Binding Contracts

  • Assist in working with London on contract administration including contract rates and guidelines
  • Prepare business plans for contracts, including analysis of loss history, premiums, market trends and changes needed by the commercial department
  • Create and maintain guidelines for each contract.
  • Review wind aggregate tracking including set up and maintain tracking for each contract
  • Work with commercial staff on underwriting questions, and referral items outside of guidelines
  • Prepare monthly bordereaux and review and analyze data for London
  • Commercial lines underwriter with 5+ years experience
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting general liability coverage and forms
  • High School diploma or equivalent - some college preferred
  • Effectively communicate with customers, insurance carriers, and in-house management and underwriting staff
  • Working knowledge of London markets and contracts preferred

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the underwriters as necessary to produce profitable business.
  • Answering phones
  • Issuing binders and invoices on new and renewal accounts
  • Rating endorsements
  • Ordering and reviewing inspections
  • Following up on missing information
  • Maintaining policy files and other duties as requested.
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications include:

  • 2-3 years commercial lines experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High school graduate or the equivalent
